Typical size is about 18–23 in tall and 40–65 lb, with a 12–15 year lifespan.
Medium double coat sheds year-round; brush weekly (more during seasonal sheds), check ears, and keep up with nail and dental care.
A recognized pure breed (despite the name, developed in the U.S.), best for active owners who can provide work and mental stimulation.
